In addition to the coordinated programs, the Master Social Policy offers the opportunity to spend a semester at one of the ERASMUS partner universities and to receive credit for the coursework as part of the studies in Bremen.

Students specializing in "Health Care System and Health Care Policies" and "Work and Social Security", have the opportunity to choose between a semester abroad or an internship in the third term. For an internship and the studies abroad in Europe it is possible to apply for ERASMUS sponsorship. The application period for Erasmus places is 15th February of the previous year in which an Erasmus stay is to take place.

We constantly try to expand cooperation with other universities to offer a wide range of possibilities. If you wish to stay at another university than the ones listed below, then please contact the ERASMUS coordinator, Anna Hokema, in advance. Under certain circumstances it is possible to reach agreements with other universities, if the study programs show a close relationship with regard to content.

Within the framework of ERASMUS a semester abroad is currently possible at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark, at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands, and at the University of Maastricht, Netherlands.
The exchange with the University of Southern Denmark will be held within the Master program Comparative Public Policy and Welfare Studies and is particularly suitable for Master's students with the specialization on "Work and Social Security".
At the University of Maastricht, we have a cooperation with the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. A semester in Maastricht is therefore especially suitable for students specializing in Health Care Policies and Health Care systems.

If you are interested in an internship abroad, you will find more information at the International Office.
