The purpose of this text analysis workshop is threefold:
To provide a brief overview of the text analysis resources and software for students and faculty who need to analyze text from surveys, interviews, newspaper articles, blogs, email, twitter or other text sources.
Provide a more in depth demonstration of four software tools: Atlas.ti, LIWC, WORDij, and Condor.
Provide a one-on-one opportunity for participants' to discuss their own research and text analysis strategies with the guest lecturers on Friday by appointment.
