Computational Social Science
The research of the working group focuses on protest movements, political participation, party competition, political communication and applied quantitative methods, in particular quantitative text analysis and automated event extraction. Her major methodological endeavour is currently the automation of protest event analysis using computational methods to investigate how protest shapes and influences modern societies. She is also interested in developing new methods to measure positions, polarisation and resonance in political communication and public debates.
