European Master in Labour Studies and Social Policy starts in Winter 2015.

The new double-degree program "European Master of Labour Studies and Social Policy"of the University of Bremen and the Università degli Studi di Milan starts in the winter semester 2015/2016. The program is integrated in the existing Master of Social Policy based at SOCIUM (formerly Centre for Social Policy Research). Based on existing cooperation in the MEST program ("Master Européen en Sciences du Travail"), the double-degree program offers an interdisciplinary education in the field of European industrial relations. As regards the contents of the program a particular emphasis will be laid on Italy and Germany. The students will study the first year at the University of Bremen, while the second year will be spent at the University of Milan.

The two Universities involved focus on their particular specializations. While the SOCIUM provides an emphasis on social policy issues, economic and sociological aspects are highlighted at the University of Milan in the second year. All courses will be taught in English.

Applications for the double-degree program from interested students from Germany will be taken until 15/07/2015.

Therefore a regular application for the Master of Social Policy and a special letter of motivation for the double-degree program is required. Furthermore, it is necessary to contact the coordinator of the program in advance: Anna Hokema.

Further information on the double-degree study program can be found on the Master Social Policy website.
