Final workshop of the Hans Böckler Project "Beyond the Male Breadwinner Model. Governing income risks of standard employees in Germany": The workshop presents the results of a research project financed by the Hans Böckler Foundation and conducted by ZeS researchers in cooperation with the Institute Labour and Economy (IAW) at the University of Bremen. The project findings show high gender-specific differences in wages within and between major industrial and service sector branches regardless of equal qualifications and working hours of men and women. National and international experts will discuss the causes and social consequences of this development as well as relevant strategies of political actors. Experiences of other European countries, especially Great Britain and Denmark will be taken into consideration as well.
