The aim of this workshop is to provide researchers and advanced students with a deeper understanding of microeconometric policy and program evaluation. We will use the potential outcome approach as a general principle to examine identification and estimation of treatment effects under various types of assumptions. Several methods, e.g., matching, instrumental variables, difference-in-differences, and regression-discontinuity design will be discussed and implemented.
